I don't sell wine, I provide access to Germany's Hidden Wine Treasures

Welcome back to my fifth blog. I have never considered myself a sales person even after so many years of mortgage and real estate sales. I always thought of my craft as providing a service to make someone else's dream happen. That being said, I have thousands of bottles of wine ready to make your acquaintance! I'd like to delve into the captivating world of German wines, known for exceptional quality, rich history and unique characteristics. My mission is not to sell wine, my mission is to provide you with a taste of Germany that most people never get to see.

Germany's Wine Story

Germany has a long tradition of winemaking dating back centuries. From it's ancient Roman origins to the modern day vineyards that grace the beautiful landscapes. To dive in even deeper to history, here is a link for all you history buffs!

There is magic in the lands of Germany

Germany's diverse landscape creates a perfect environment for growing a wide range of grape varietals. There are thirteen wine regions to explore such as the Rheingau, Mosel and Pfalz. From the high mountain slopes of slate & quartzite, to the sunny hillsides, sands, clays & loess, you'll find the true essence of Germany. Each of these unique soils and microclimates that contribute to the flavors and aromas in each bottle.

There is more to Germany's wines than Rieslings!

While Rieslings are the superstars and most known wines of Germany, there are lots of lesser known grape varieties waiting for you to explore. Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir), Silvaner and Portugieser to name a few. You must expand your palate and broaden your wine horizons with these hidden treasures. If you are only basing your German wine tastes on Rieslings, then you know they are fresh, crisp, delicious, come in styles sweet to dry, but you'd be missing out on some of the most incredible Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, Pinot Noirs and many SPECTACULAR sparkling wines. So, don't stop now, continue your German vacation of wines.

Great wines deserve a festival... German Wine Fests are the best!

One of my very favorite parts of living in Germany are the festivals (Fests)! The peak of the wine fest season is August and September, however most of the little towns start in late spring to early summer. This is a show of happiness that winter is gone! (At least for this Florida girl!) It is food, wine (beer too), music, and so much fun! Check this link out for dates in the Rheingau Region area, my personal fav!
